A man in his 60s presented with persistent breathlessness after being discharged from the respiratory team, where no cause for his symptoms was identified. He was awaiting further cardiology investigations but sought help for ongoing respiratory issues.

FeNO Test: Significantly elevated, indicating eosinophilic airway inflammationhma
Inhaled Corticosteroid (ICS): Based on the high FeNO results, treatment with an inhaled corticosteroid was initiated.
FeNO testing revealed the presence of eosinophilic inflammation that had been missed in previous assessments. This insight allowed for tailored treatment, avoiding unnecessary cardiology investigations and dramatically improving the patient’s condition.
